Simple shapes and about colours

Sunday Drawing Class-17 Today's youtube video is on how to draw some “simple shapes ” WITH SIMPLE LINES . Just watch carefully where to start and how to proceed. Try it, show me and tell me if you need any help. Today I'll share with you some more information about colours. I'am sure that those associated with drawing and painting must have seen a 'colour circle' on the cover of their drawing exercise book. Very few people notice it. But if you follow that colour circle, your painting can improve immensely with the use of colours. Now some information about that colour circle. In the colour circle, you can see every colour has an opposite colour on the opposite side of the color scheme. Like, orange> blue, yellow> purple or red> green. These are called complimentary colours. Why? Because using a combination of these colours side by side in a painting creates more effect. It becomes more attractive, in other words,'Eye Catching'. They increase the intensity of each other's presence. Sometimes we cannot decide which colour we should use in our work. If you remember the colour wheel, it will be much easier. Look at the green colour for 10-15 seconds, and after that look at the white coloured wall / paper. A glimpse of red colour appears. This is also a way to find out complimentary colours. But I should say that there is no thumb-rule how an artist should use a colour scheme. That must be the artist's own idea or visulization. The colour wheel can help to make that work more interesting. Hopefully these small discussions will prove useful to you. I look forward to get your opinions. In the next week, I will talk about the harmony of colours or colour combination.
