I like this Nigel. Good work with the rocks and water.

I'm glad you decided to paint for yourself, not to suit the dictates of art criticism/conventional modernism/fashion/and the rigid academic certainties. Because you have sculpted this image with thick paint, and it works. I've not been back to Wales for a very long time, but this is so representative of it - and it's important that painting can grab that sense of place.

Smashing and I agree with Robert, have visited your website too, very good.

Visited your website Nigel, very interesting it was too. So much going on with the colour but you have the tonal values right so it all makes sense. Beautiful brush marks as well.

Super painting Nigel.

This painting grabbed my attention - great impasto work painted with confidence and directness. Have also looked at your website -very impressive Nigel.

Love the softness of your palette, and the brushstrokes you’ve employed to capture the contours of the rocks and the movement in the water.
