In this tutorial we will focus on some of the basic techniques and tools used to create Scratchboard art making it the ideal introduction to the medium.

During this introduction to Scratchboard, Conor will demonstrate the techniques he would use to create this piece, however feel free to experiment as there is never just one way to do things.

Conor will show you how to create complex textures such as fur, and also how to tackle more intricate areas. During this webinar, Conor will demonstrate these techniques while creating a Scratchboard of a tiger's eye.

Scratchboard is a medium where you can experiment with various tools to scratch away the black ink revealing the white clay board underneath. Therefore, the list of tools you can use to create these types of artwork is endless. But, after many years of experimenting, Conor has found some tools that work perfectly for him and his technique, so he will also share with you the specific tools he uses for Scratchboard.

Alongside all of this, this webinar is a great opportunity to ask Conor some questions about Scratchboard and how to create such detailed pieces.
