Looking ahead with optimism to the gorgeous colours of spring and early summer, learn how to create light and shade and real depth within the landscape across wooded fields and trees towards the distant moorland. The scene you will paint is a beautiful landscape vista in Ryedale, North Yorkshire filled with lots of visual interest, depth and distance stretching all the way to the North York Moors across the fields close to my home. It’s going to be a delight to teach you how to ‘get to grips with greens’ and other colours so you can paint one of your favourite views with confidence next.

• The webinar will take place on Zoom and will last for approximately 1 hour including a Q&A session (these are approximate timings and may vary slightly).
• Once you have registered for the webinar, you'll receive an email confirmation containing your link to join the webinar on the day, plus Robert's suggested materials list and reference photograph for the session.
• During the webinar, you'll have the opportunity to submit your questions and chat with fellow attendees using the Q&A and 'chat' buttons at the bottom of your screen. 
• The webinar will be recorded and will be made available to all registered attendees the day after the live session, for one month following the live webinar.

About Robert Dutton

Robert is a professional artist and lives in North Yorkshire; a move he made with confidence from Leeds in March ‘21, to be closer to his ever popular painting and expressive drawing subject matter - the North York Moors, Yorkshire Dales, East Yorkshire Coast, and The Lake District.

Having qualified with a Bachelor of Arts Degree (with Honours), Robert worked as a professional Graphic Designer and illustrator for over 30 years in the commercial sector to include in-house positions with financial clients KPMG and PwC. Following successive shows in London with his work and sell out shows in the North of England, in 2013 Robert took the decision to become a full time artist when his expressive style of painting became popular and in demand.

Since then, his unique style has grown with increasing respect and he has won numerous and continual awards in leading national galleries and open art competitions. His work has been exhibited at ‘The Mall Galleries’ in London with the prestigious ‘Pastel Society’ and the Society of Graphic Fine Art, with whom he is an Associate Artist.

Robert also teaches popular and regular sell out residential art holidays in the Lake District at independent adult education colleges and with HF Holidays and more recently with The National Trust. He is a regular demonstrator nationally for art groups, a popular online art tutor and a regular contributor to The Artist magazine, as well as running his own workshops in North Yorkshire.
