The ING Discerning Eye Exhibition is now calling for entries and is scheduled to return to the Mall Galleries in London this Autumn.

The open exhibition gives artists the opportunity to show their work in central London and win a range of prizes, including the ING Purchase Prize worth £5,000, as well as specific medium and regional awards, totalling £12,000.

Online submissions are open via a dedicated portal until Tuesday 7 September 2021.

The exhibition is scheduled to open at the Mall Galleries on 11 November 2021 with a prize giving and will run until 21 November 2021.

All shortlisted works will be included in a fully illustrated print catalogue and an online exhibition, with commentary and introductions by the selectors.

The ING Discerning Eye Exhibition is an annual show of small-scale works renowned for both its commitment to championing emerging artists and its unique curatorial approach. A panel of six prominent art world figures - two artists, two collectors and two critics - select works of art for the yearly exhibition.

Proudly supported by ING for over two decades, the ING Discerning Eye Exhibition is one of the longest-running commercial sponsorships of the arts in the UK. Since it began, 3,500 artists have been exhibited, more than 10,000 works have been showcased, over £250,000 has been awarded in prize money to exhibiting artists, and close to £1 million worth of art has been sold on behalf of the artists.

ING and the Discerning Eye are delighted to announce this year’s selectors:

Adelaide Damoah: A British-Ghanaian multidisciplinary artist, Adelaide Damoah's work explores colonialism, spirituality and intersectional feminism.

Roland Cowan: Architect and contemporary art collector. He is a trustee of Outset Contemporary Art Fund, supporting a number of their programmes which fund exciting and innovative contemporary art projects.

Russell Tovey: Russell Tovey is an actor, author and playwright. He has a collection of over 300 works of contemporary art and has hosted the Talk Art podcast with the gallerist Robert Diament since 2018.
