TALP Open - the results are in!

Judging for this year's TALP Open exhibitions has now taken place.

Our 2021 TALP Open judges, Adebanji Alade, David Curtis, Ingrid Lyon, Liz Wood and Sally Bulgin spent an enjoyable time yesterday judging the record number of entries in this year's competition.

The standard of work was incredible, judging took over six hours to complete and we are now looking forward to two fabulous exhibitions, opening at Patchings Art Centre on August 21. All exhibited and highly commended work will also feature online here at PaintersOnline from the same date.

All entrants will have received notification of their results by email. Congratulations to the artists selected for exhibition and those who's work has been highly-commended.

Award judging will take place on August 18 and successful prize-winners will be notified before the exhibitions open.

Visitors to the exhibitions, both at Patchings and online, will have the opportunity to vote for their favourites in our 2021 People's Choice Awards.

As you will already know, this year's Patchings Festival has sadly been postponed until 2022 due to Coronavirus, but look out for details of a free two-day online event, taking place on September 2 and 3, in celebration of this year's exhibitions and looking forward to a fabulous festival next year.

It’s the first competition I’ve ever entered and I had one piece selected and another highly commended. I couldn’t be more pleased.. looking forward to to the exhibition in August.

I am delighted to have a painting highly commended, it's my first ever and I'm very excited about it.

It's so encouraging to have had a picture "Highly Commended". It will spur me on to keep painting. Thanks to the judges ...they must have had a very difficult task choosing from all those lovely entries.
