  • Closing date is 30 May 2020

100 finalists will be selected by an expert panel led by Gary Hodges and will be exhibited at [email protected] as part of our autumn tour.

Finalists will be announced on 28 August 2020 and are eligible to win the Leisure Painter’s People’s Choice Award, an award voted for by the public and The Artist Award, chosen by the editorial team of The Artist magazine.

The SFS Introducing 100 will be sold via online auction at the conclusion of the tour in aid of Explorers Against Extinction projects.

Ten artworks will be shortlisted (five in each category) for two further awards decided by the expert panel: SFS Introducing Wildlife Artist of the Year 2020 and SFS Introducing Wild Spaces Artist of the year 2020.

The shortlists will be announced on Friday 4 September 2020 and the winners revealed at our event at the Royal Geographical Society in London on Thursday November 12.

No artwork will be wasted – those submissions not selected for the tour/auction will go into the Sketch for Survival Art Gallery to be sold in aid of Explorers Against Extinction projects.

Every piece will be available to view in the online store from Saturday 5 September.

They will also be available for purchase during the autumn tour.
