Hi, I have been meaning to say for a while that I have re-subscribed to The Artist magazine for a year but am not finding as much content on oil painting as I expected. As I simply skip past the many articles on watercolour am wondering whether it is worthwhile renewing my subscription when the time comes.

I always look forward to receiving my monthly copy of The Artist but if I have one complaint it is the apparent bias towards watercolour! Of the above list of 15 articles five are watercolour. I may well be in the minority but it would be interesting to have one of your surveys asking what people think of as their prime medium. I do try to read all articles because there are useful tips on composition etc in any medium, but for me please, more oils and in general more balance! While I admire skill in watercolour it’s just not my bag. Incidentally I just looked at the February issue and that has seven watercolour articles of fifteen articles listed in the contents!
