See the winner and runners-up in our painting competition, celebrating the work of our emergency services.
Last year, with the National Fire Service having been established 80 years ago in 1941, we teamed up with Search Press inviting you to paint your celebratory tributes to the work of any or all of our emergency services.
From all the lovely entries, which included nurses, emergency call handlers and more, we chose this poignant painting of an Australian firefighter rescuing a koala in 2019 by Jennifer Leslie as the winning entry.
The winning entry

Jennifer wins an £80 gift voucher from our friends at Search Press to spend on books of her choice.
Her winning painting, along with the three runners-up below, will also feature in a future issue of Leisure Painter.
