Spinning a Yarn

Spinning a Yarn

lovely painting Christine I do love kingfishers but in all my years of walking along rivers and streams I have only ever seen one , it was like a turquoise jewel as it flew dart like up the small river cole .

He could build a nest in the sock and feel really at home. Wonderful pair Christine!

I had been thinking recently that I hadn't seen any postings from you and then I logged on and saw this lovely kingfisher. i bet th socks look really striking, the colours are super.

Thank you Dennis, Satu, Dennis & Julie for your kind comments. Dennis, you're one ahead of me, it has been a long held wish of mine to see a kingfisher, I will be 70 next week and still haven't achieved that ambition! Julie, I haven't been doing any artwork recently, I've been a bit lacking in inspiration I have been busy with lots of other crafty things though. Hopefully the inspiration will return!

Brilliant work Christine, love the sock too.

Lovely unusual picture, Christine. You always create something special.

A matching pair! Lovely colours Christine

So talented Christine!!!

Thank you Carole, Shirley, Gudrun, Fiona, Jenny and Linda for your lovely comments.

This really works well. A lovely novel idea Christine.

That sock really finishes the painting, Christine - that was a cleaver touch!

Thank you Adele & Seok for your kind comments. Sorry that I've not been commenting as often as usual recently, I've opened an Etsy shop for some of the craft work I do and it seems to have taken over my life at the moment! Hope to get back to posting and commenting soon.

Hang on Studio Wall

i've been busy doing other crafty things in recent weeks and have drifted away from my usual art work. This is the leg of a pair of socks knitted in West Yorkshire Spinners yarn in the their Kingfisher colour way and my torn paper collaged Kingfisher. A matching pair!
