You've posted this before, but this resolution is so much better - I can see the knife strokes. I don't actually know Wilf Roberts' work, but I do know Kyffin Williams and this is reminiscent of that, in some respects. I like the cleanness of it, the sharp contrasts, the one touch of vibrant colour:and it's very Welsh.

Great colours and perspective. Love your "in your face" style with palette knife/brush. Wendy, could I ask what you think of water based oils as I've never used them? I use oil paints, but would like a friendlier/safer version when working outside and taking them on holiday.

Excellent stuff Wendy, love those flat areas of interlocking colour. Never heard of Wilf Roberts, I'll have to look him up. best Mick

Wilf Roberts is a welsh painter from Anglsey.Pat the water based oils are great and much easier to clean up after, the white tends to dry slower, but i still prefer oils, Thanks for the great comments x oh went to see Kyffins work last week just love it.

I'm also not familiar with Wilf Roberts but do love Kyffins which is in much evidence in Anglesey - so it follows that this very much appeals to me - great piece Wendy

Super use of the medium Wendy, love your strong and definite use of the paint.

thanx for your comments
