Beautiful details and strong drawing in this lovely painting, Vivien. Can you photoshop your pictures, they would be more impressive without the wall and we could see more details (no offense)!! And if you allow me another advice: never use flashlight (My Turn Next), because they give a bad reflection. Try to photograph your paintings in real daylight, as we all try to do.

Thankyou for your comment Mia...I agree about the flash and make sure it doesn't happen now.. some of the paintings in the gallery were photographed some time ago. I do my own framing so photograph before glazing..At the moment real daylight is limited- partly because of the weather. hopefully soon to improve !!!So I look for the best light indoors. I have Photoplus which is similar to photoshop, but just haven't had the time to get into it...I will eventually !!

Really lovely, I alays like flowers that are going over, gives so much more character. Beautiful.

Thank you Carole.. I must admit , most of my inspiration comes from fading flora or seed heads, so much scope there.

Your paintings are always elegant. It is impressive that you do your own framing. Fading Flowers is not only beautiful, it also give a sense of the passage of time. Indeed, it is inspirational..

Thank you Yu Ping.. your comments are much appreciated.. especially from one who has such a lovely painting as Eucalyptus in their gallery. I was a proffessional Picture Framer....which developed as a spin off from my Art work....it IS very usefull.

A large work , on canvas, using acrylics with acrylic gold and ink highlights. This flower is a wonderful subject, especially as it fades-as its unusuall formaton allows for more adventurous effects without going really abstract.
