Thank you both Heather and Thalia. You are right Heather during the recession of 1980 - 1995 the only jobs available in London seemed to be in Pubs and they served a better meal than firms' canteens. They did attract many attractive women. Once I got to know them they often let me photograph them for a portrait.

In 1979 my wife organised a series of painting lessons with a French Artist who taught art in a college in north west London. The painting lessons turned out to be anything but. For ten months he made me draw anything from toe nail clippings to the pieta and paintings in the various galleries…
