Beautiful painting and beautiful story. Love the pose of your rescue girl. Also really like the semi-abstract foreground with its dynamic brush strokes and lovely colours.

This has taken two attempts to get it just how I saw it! Discarded the first one, our darling blind rescue girl 'looking' to hear her Dad return! Many layers of scumbling and glazing, not to mention trying to get the door frames right, with a tiny amount of light shining around them!
