I think this looks great.

You have made this very much your own Susan. Delightful.

I love John Ferguson’s work. This is stylish and colourful.

Beautifully painted. Love the bold brushwork, palette and expressivity.

Top of the class..........what a way to meet a challenge head on!

Thank you Denise, Carole, Heather, Jenny, George, Seok and Steve for such lovely, positive comments. They're most encouraging and very much appreciated.

This was actually my art class challenge. We were asked to look at the work of Scottish colourist artist John Duncan Fergusson, in particular his two portraits 'Hortensia' 1907 and 'Le Voile Persan' 1909 and to do our own painting. 'Pensive Woman' is my interpretation, painted in a fauvist style. I must admit I rather enjoyed having a go at this challenge.

About the Artist
Susan Fisher

In late 2017 I joined an acrylic art class as a beginner and I've been painting ever since. I particularly enjoy impressionism, expressionism and fauvism and a lot of my art work reflects this. I also enjoying painting portraits. I would like to thank all POL members who help and encourage me.
