Lovely flesh tones. You do have a delicate touch Stuart, I didn't understand your comment on mine.

Stuart, I certainly didn't think you were criticising, the opposite! And I meant that I think that your method has a soft effect, yours are fine lines of colour placed next to each other which have an optical effect, very nice. Commenting on line can be mis interpreted, we can't add an afterthought in the same way. Yes, I do blend the marks but not all. In larger pastels I don't use pencils, I prefer soft Unison pastels and a shaper for the odd fine detail. I was wondering how you did this figure. Is it on blue paper? And if so, how did you "block in" the body mass?

A4 drawing using 3 colour pastel pencils and white. Not one of my better ones, I think, but you have got to show the bad with the good. We all have off days!
