Hitchwood 1

Like this a lot Shirley

So lovely, Shirley.

Almost bluebell time .I get itchy fingers. This is lovely .

A lovely painting Shirley.

Like it - is this watercolour? Could just as easily be oil - either way, it's worked.

Thank you for your lovely comments. To answer your query Robert, it's a watercolour with some gouache at the end. I started as an oil painter as a child and taught myself to paint in watercolour but had no knowledge of the correct technique! So, I find, however hard I try, I seem to end up with an oil painter's intuition as to how it should be finished! Glad you like it though!

Very pretty, lots of movement.

Hang on Studio Wall

A painting of Hitchwood concentrating on the sunlit Spring foliage against the carpet of Bluebells and the dark tree trunks.
