Summer's Fading (September Border)

Summer's Fading (September Border)

Wonderful Shirley - full of form, life and colour.

Beautiful. Congrats on your October challenge win Shirley.

hi this is very pretty fantastic work xx

Thank you Jaqueline and everyone for their lovely comments on the above painting. I have noticed recently that all my flower paintings seem to be in acrylic and my landscapes are mostly in watercolour. That is odd, because I started the other way around all those years ago! I used to paint the landscapes in oils actually. Acrylic is a sort of bit of both ... Any thoughts?

Really very beautiful painting Shirley.

Beautifully painted Shirley.

Beautiful vibrant colours

A really lovely painting Shirley, beautiful colours.

I love this "festoon" of florals.

Beautiful, Shirley.

A real stunner, Shirley. The riot of colours and mix of flowers is SO appealing. Bri

Beautiful !!

Really good piece capturing a busy border.

Fabulous Shirley!

Love the colours. Vibrant!

That’s absolutely beautiful Shirley. Love the broad brushstrokes of the petals

What a feast!

Hang on Studio Wall

Painting is acrylic on a 1.5cm thick board - paint around edges. The blooms in the flower border getting a little blown and towards the last flowers. A mixture of Cosmos, daisies, the odd rose and a little of the Autumn creeping in. The colour to give an end of summer feeling.
