Hydrangea with dogwood twigs
Oil on 14 x 10 canvas board. This is a bit of an experiment for me, I’ve always shied away from painting flowers. There was one remaining Hydrangea flower head remaining in the garden so I decided to paint it. I put it in a glass vase with some dogwood twigs and constructed a ‘corner’ with mountboard so I could control the shadows. Really enjoyed painting it.
