Hydrangea with dogwood twigs

Comments

This is delightful and beautifully painted.

Excellent painting Paul. The vase is so good and all of it is beautifully painted.

I like the simple arrangement and the shadows give your painting oomph Paul. You should paint flowers more often.

The simple background with its shadows really enhance the flowers and vast. Lovely painting.

This is lovely, love the vase and the shadow

A little beauty (great vase)

Very nice Paul. ( ps I really like your tern picture, should have got a lot more "likes")

Re. my previous comment, just noticed you have 2 tern pictures ! Spoilt for choice. Both lovely.

Looks great, simple and effective.

The shadow is wonderful Paul and would make a painting by itself….lol. It’s all a delightful painting.

Oil on 14 x 10 canvas board. This is a bit of an experiment for me, I’ve always shied away from painting flowers. There was one remaining Hydrangea flower head remaining in the garden so I decided to paint it. I put it in a glass vase with some dogwood twigs and constructed a ‘corner’ with mountboard so I could control the shadows. Really enjoyed painting it.
