14 x 22 inches watercolour and pencil on Langton rough paper. This was only going to be a very, very quick painting. Within thirty minutes, the sun was full upon me and all hope of carrying on would have been utterly futile. Nevertheless, it kind of worked for me. I almost forgot: I painted this at Kenilworth castle, sitting in the cellars of the ruined great hall.
