Awarded a Merit in the USA, this 1m wide canvas was bought by an Aussie academic when on display at Painters Hall in the annual exhibition Art in the City. It had to be taken from its frame and stretcher and rolled carefully to fly back to Australia. It was painted following a visit to Giverny, Monet's home.
