This is effective - did you paint this over a white underpainting or plain white canvas? I ask because you say you tried not to use white - though I presume you must have used a bit. There are touches of Turner in this.

this beautiful sunset caught my eye with its energy and strong colours. I try not to use white to capture the deep colours.
