Love the light you've got in this - and yes, painting all the blossom or leaves in tiny strokes is NOT for me.

A lane to walk along and to enjoy..

Lovely composition, John. Super palette.

Super scene leading the viewer down the lane nicely John. Good use of darks and light, vital touches.

Works very well John, good use of tone.

Would love to go down that walk John looks so inviting. The blossom is just right.

Great one John. The colours and light are wonderful and the way the eye is taken down the road.

Oil on canvas board. Size 10x8 inches. Spring finally got here in the end. The blossom is only lightly put in as if you smother the tree it just does not look right. So a little is more. Painted from my own reference photography in my studio. Had a Great time pushing the paint around and finishing it off with a palette knife.
