Lush and stunning, John. Beautiful work.

Beautiful colours, John, especially the foreground, and such a sunny feeling.

Lovely work, John, with wonderful layers, light and textures.

A very accomplished work John, detail in abundance but not overworked in the least. I've been away so apologies for not commenting over the last 6 weeks or so, I am now struggling to get my act together hence my lack of posting.

Thank you Chandra and Dawn for your comments, appreciated.

Love the warmth and happy feel to this painting John. Great light and darkness.

You will enjoy ‘ A sense of Place’ John, it’s a super collection of her work from her Glasgow studio as well as from her studio/Croft in Catterline. I find her work to be raw and honest, and her Catterline seascapes especially exciting. There is a spark in all her work, I love her snow scenes, especially the ones where the light is poor. The tutor of the art group I go to arranged a private tour of her work with commentary from the head curator at her exhibition at the The national gallery last year. I believe when the exhibition opened the twins that feature in a lot of Joan’s portraits were there answering questions about their association with Joan. She is truly loved in Scotland.
