The poses of the figures are great, especially the woman's. The dark figures are in background are a great idea, they add a lot to the picture but don't distract from the main action. Bags of real life in this painting. Another cracker, John.

The little touches make it stand out....the hint of the child in the pushchair....the way the mother is turned to focus on the belligerent, hands in pockets, child in the background.....as much a story as a picture.
