Just shows Winter paintings don't need to be drab, lovely use of colour.

Your use of the strong autumn colours never looks too bold or out of place, you harmonise them with the soft bluey greens and they look perfect together. Just beautiful John.

Great depth - the sort of painting I'm always going to like because it's where I'd most like to be. I like that hot spot in the foreground, too; and the darks - always vital to remember with this sort of thing, if you haven't got the darks you're not going to get the lights.
