Each time you put paint to paper you are improving Denise, compare what you are accomplishing now, compared to when you started. I think everyone on the site who has been following your progress, can’t help but be impressed with your enthusiasm and improvement. You’re doing great!

Good job Denise, agree with Fiona and admire your enthusiasm.

Agree with Fiona's comment, Denise. Great way to learn, keep up the good work.

Amazing the number of paintings you have produced, Denise. Have you a favourite topic yet?

Good one Denise

You are all so very kind. Marjorie, I haven't found a favourite topic yet, I seem to go all over the place, I would like to find something, then I could focus and concentrate more on that one subject.

Very captivating colours here Denise. I admire your wide range of topics and it’s good to explore different types of painting. I think it’s a really good way to discover different methods and keep your work fresh. I like to see artists produce a variety of work rather than stick to a particular type of painting. Having said that I know that repeating a painting with a variety of palettes and focal points can be a very valuable but it’s more exciting to switch to different modes.

Great painting Denise, I agree with all that has been said about your progress and ability to paint. You certainly do challenge yourself, and come up trumps . I think this one has a traditional look to the countryside.

Totally agree with Fiona. This is marvellous

Certainly very beautiful Denise and imagination! Truly great.

Thanks so very much Carole, Paul, Hilary and Carole.

Love the textural effects you have acheived Denise and the reflections on the water.

Thanks very much Diane.

I thought, the only way to learn is to get on and practice. It's not the best but it's from imagination. So it's a start. I've done a couple of oils but I just got on with this one. I guess it's a building block.
