I agree with Heather and Paul, Denise. This really is an eye-catcher. Beautiful light on the flower in contrast with the dark background.

I've been doing a couple of paintings that are not going my way, through lack of experience and me being impatient, so to ease my frustration, I put them aside for the moment and did this to relax. I'll have another crack at the other's tomorrow.
