This was for a revue set on a boat; the curtains open in the "third half" to reveal the sunset as seen from the "deck." Half way through, our new powerful LED stage lights were able to turn the sky blue and the sun into a white moon for an evening scene! Amazing technology. As for the painting, the sky's background colour gradation was done first with a large very noisy spray gun; after that it was normal brush paint but I had to assemble some scaffolding to make a board to lie on for the top clouds!
