Sword in the scone

This was the first panto we had done in years, and the requirement was to make it look colourful and somewhat cartoony. This picture is of the medieval kiln. The side brickwork is wallpaper and imitation grey slate so we wanted something that would clash in a comical way. The scone is a giant lump of expanding foam, and the colour gradation from the top to bottom was done with a large airbrush and a mixture of acrylic and emulsion paint.
