For years I had wanted the time and space to paint a large space picture and this was the excuse I needed to buy an airbrush. The stars were brush painted first, then the coronal glow added by airbrush, as was the galaxy and bands of space dust. The islands on the planet are brush painted but the wisps of clouds are airbrushed.
