Up the creek

Quite a complex scene for an imaginary work. But you have pulled it off Michael, well done!

A truly lovely painting of an imaginary scene!

Lovely, Michael.

Beautifully done , very skilfully I’d say Michael. Hope you find a paddle soon 😂

Thank you Stephen, David, Shirley and Carole (so do I 😊 ). Could have done better I think ….. New Year’s Resolution: don’t run out of ultramarine blue !

This is a beauty and I think the water is superb!

A merry Christmas to you Michael, and thank you for posting this lovely painting. Hope Santa brings you the required paints .

Heather- thank you. You are always so positive. Paul - your comments are also much appreciated; always encouraging, thank you. Happy Christmas.

This is so alive Michael. Love your subdued palette which gives off so much liveliness and the reflections and water swirls are superb. Seasonal greetings to you also.

Fantastic water Michael! Love how you have painted the group of boats and their reflections…..it’s a really gorgeous watercolour even without the ultra marine! A Merry Christmas to you and your family.

I agree with all that's been said, Michael - it's a great watercolour!

Lovely painting

Thank you so much Russell, Carole K., Fiona, Anne & Romila. You are all too kind! I thoughtI was rather up the creek with this one but your comments have made me think it may not be too bad after all.

Excellent work Michael, my favourite subject!

Thank you Alan. My favourite subject too! Happy Christmas.

Well done Michael - definitely a good one. Happy Christmas!

Aha Dympna - thank you. Just had relatives on phone from Mandurah. 42 degC expected in Perth. Sounds like a good time to find a shady spot on the Swan River. Happy Christmas to you too.

For the next five days - 39,42,42,40,38. Not good at all. I will be down by the river in the morning. My little watercolour table is positioned under the air conditioner.

Hang on Studio Wall

An imaginary but not very seasonal scene. I am up the creek having run out of French Ultramarine Blue - a cardinal sin. Must re-stock for 2022! A Happy Christmas to all you wonderful POL contributors.
