Flat calm at Bamburgh Castle ( watercolour)

Nice, loose, and appealing.

A beautiful loose painting Michael and painted so well.

This is really appealing Michael

Interesting title as it's the dramatic sky, and not the sea that catches the attention.....not that it matters what it is called, it is still a striking piece of work.

What striking painting of this magical place Michael. The castle looks magnificent against that dramatic sky…..gorgeous.

Gorgeous colours, love the reflections - it's somewhere I really want to visit.

This is quite spectacular Michael love it!

Love the dramatic sky, reflections and the castle

Thanks Skylar & Paul. Trying to be loose without losing it entirely is always the problem; seems I got away with it! Heather - appealing is much nicer than appalling. Thank you! Tony - pleased it appeals. Thanks. Fiona - magical place it is, I agree. Glad you like it; I wonder if I have painted the beach a little too light? Sarah - you must visit this lovely coast and it’s castles. Thank you. Carole & Romila - pleased it appeals; I was pleased with it but you always wonder if others will have a different opinion!

Lovely and loose watercolour Michael. Nice combination of colours and good tonal values.

Thank you Dympna. Another place to visit on your England visits - if you haven’t already.

Hang on Studio Wall

On the lovely Northumberland coast - a rare day with no wind and still water. One of my, and many others, favourite places. The coast of castles.
