Autumnal tints

Michael - Good Taste, with those Greens! Very nicely done.

Beautiful, love the sunny golds.

Beautifully painted. So subtle.

Beautiful scene with lovely colours!!

Beautiful. The deep blues with the autumn tints make it sing.

Wonderful colour palette used superbly, top of its game!

Very nice autumnal scene.

Beautiful, Michael.

That's lovely. Lovely autumn colours

Beautifully painted Michael and I agree it does have the New Forrest look , the colours etc are so good and a good choice.

Love the simplicity of this Michael and your great choice of colours so subtly harmonious. I also love the economy of your brushstrokes.

This is so scrumptious Michael. Juicy colour and your trees are super!

Lovely Autumn colours and super trees, Michael!

Autumn is really lit up here - I like those colours working off each other.

You are a kind bunch. Thank you for all those nice comments. I’ve been suffering from ‘painter’s block’ for a few weeks and wondered if I would ever paint something half decent again!

Just what the doctor ordered, that should sort the painters block. That is so much more than half decent Michael it's brilliant.

Good strong Autumn tints.

I absolutely love this. Very seasonal. Is it watercolour?

I absolutely love this. Very seasonal. It it in watercolours

Excellent - wet path, autumn colours and the highlighted gate.

Thank you Brian, Stephen, Candy and Richard. I’ve not yet painted anything that is brilliant in my estimation Brian! And Candy - yes, watercolour.

Beautifully painted Michael. I've just torn up my attempt at a watercolour autumnal scene in disgust so I'll be studying yours closely in the hope of learning something !

Thank you Val & Judith. Don’t worry Val - I tear up plenty too! Having had a bad patch, I was quite surprised this one worked quite well.

Stunning painting

Romila - you are too kind !

Really like this, Michael

Hang on Studio Wall

A 15x11 in. watercolour based on a pastel painting by Esther Vissen den Hertog from the Netherlands. I painted this because the scene so reminded me of the New Forest where I lived for 42 years up to 2017.
