As evening falls - Newtown Creek Isle of Wight

There's a starkness about this which attracts, and the sky is super.

Very nice work Michael, I like the contrast between the soft sky and the strongly painted foreground.

This is beautiful, Michael.

Beautiful sky and love the contrasts Michael.

Beautiful painting, Michael, with delightful earthy tones, There is an element of isolation pervading this piece. Bri

Glad you like the sky Marjorie - skies either work or they don’t! Stephen, Kwok, Heather and Carole - thank you for the ‘thumbs up’. I know the place well; I once sailed in on friend’s boat and (foolishly) jump over the side for a swim ..... boy was it cold! Bri - thank you. You are right about the feeling of isolation.

Everything works well in this painting, you have managed to capture the atmosphere of the place perfectly

Beautiful Michael and a great sky.

Super painting, Michael - it has wonderful depth and atmosphere.

Many thanks Paul, Christine and Anne. It’s a pleasant quiet spot to visit.

Wonderful sense of seclusion Michael, fabulous sky which sets the scene beautifully.

I love that wet in wet work
