Out in the countryside (after Paul Weaver)

Always good Michael

Really like the simplicity of this scene.

Love the light on the barns and the way you have painted the sky Michael.

Love how the sky melts into the far hills Michael. The barns make a striking focal point against the subtle greens of the pasture....a lovely scene.

Pleased you approve Heather, Kwok, Richard, Carole and Fiona. I always seem to make a better job of paintings without too much detail! Can’t remember who but one famous watercolourist once said that he started off looking at a perfect sheet of white paper and then started to apply paint and ruin it!

Hang on Studio Wall

Paul Weaver is a regular contributor to 'The Artist' magazine. I like the way he paints and this is based on one of his demonstrations. The contrast between the dark barns and the sunlit fields gives, I hope, a strong feeling of light.
