I’ve never visited Winchester Michael, it looks a lovely old market town. I like the feeling of sunshine on the sunny side of the street and great figures....very natural.

Now that's a lovely scene to look at, Michael. A memory of summer and no "you know what". The deep shadows on one side of the street are very skillful and add a lot to the composition

Beautifully painted with great use of light Michael.

I’m glad you like the look of Winchester Fiona & Marjorie. Thank you. It was where both our children were born and where my wife and I worked back in the 1960/70’s. Now it is far too busy and I am pleased to be living in rural Herefordshire!

I like this very much, Michael- lovely sunny effect.

Lovely fresh, bright use of the medium. Love the shadows

Thank you Carole Anne & Diana. A bit of sunshine, real or imagined, does us all good in these troubled times.

Excellent figures in this Michael, they add so much to the painting.

Lovely sunshine and figures in the painting

Like this Michael, lots to interest the eye

Chrissie Romila & Heather - thank you!

Nice depiction of Winchester, but as you say it is far too busy now

A view up the pedestrianised length of Winchester High Street on a sunny day. Nice old city but not so nice as it was 50 years ago when much less busy!
