Sometimes, less is more. Nice!

Love the simplicity of this scene Michael and those impressive reflections.

I think the lack of ‘fiddling’ has given a pure and simple watercolour.....the best kind.

Suits the title, lovely quiet scene, love that sky.

Thank you all very much. Think I enjoy painting skies more than anything else Stephen. Foregrounds are often my downfall so a large expanse of water is often a good ‘cop out’ 😊

You may like skies Michael, and are excellent at painting them, but the water here is what catches my eye. It's so peaceful.

Really like the simplicity of it Michael (if you know what I mean) great sky, it does not need any 'frills' to tell the story, nice one.

Thank you Marjorie & Malcolm. I can’t do ‘complicated’ very well! It always amazes me how a clear sheet of water can be made so interesting by the addition of a few ‘squiggles’ of reflections.

The simplicity of this is dynamic. That water is so still!

Thank you Diana - almost like plate glass! I remember nearly 60 years ago being in a small boat on a fjiord in Norway when the water was like glass; felt like the boat was sitting on rather than in the water and that at any second the ‘glass’ would break and we would drown!

Hang on Studio Wall

A very simple "no frills" watercolour painted this morning. I hope it is nevertheless effective; I could have fiddled away for another 20 minutes and probably made it much worse!
