Have never seen Wesson's but this is superb. Wonderful light.

Michael this is sensational! I know the oil and this is a fabulous rendition of it in watercolour. You’ve caught that beautiful light that Wesson was so good at.

Terrific light on the chapel against the dark sky Michael, which makes this a striking painting.

Hang on Studio Wall

I have always liked the rather dramatic oil painting of this scene by the late Edward Wesson. So with some trepidation I thought I'd have a go at it in watercolour. Looks like sunshine after a storm. Wasn't too displeased with the result - it was fun to paint - but wish my hand was a bit steadier these days!
