Thank you Dennis Cesare and Linda. Glad you like this. I think I could have gone a bit stronger with contrast - strange how this doesn't seem the case while you are painting but only when you look at it later!

I have a photograph not unlike your imaginary scene Michael, and it's of a bridge on Rannoch Moor. The palette is almost identical too! Beautiful.

My sub-conscious must have been thinking Rannoch Moor then Fiona! Thank you.

Hang on Studio Wall

An imaginary scene painted this morning. Could be anywhere but I was thinking Scotland. A lonely road winds across a watershed in the hills with the higher mountains capped in snow. The boggy land is brown - no fresh growth in February. A spindly tree just about survives on the right. Not a soul in sight ......
