Liathach Mark 2 - in foul weather

Good effort Michael, that technique of mountain tops in mist is so difficulty. I like the way you have described the rough water also.

A damn good effort Michael, atmospheric it certainly is, and I love the granulation in the sky.

It looks pretty authentic to me Michael....that large, ominous dark granulated cloud, is fabulous!

Thank you Stephen, Alan, Dennis & Fiona. Partial success perhaps!

Well, I think you have achieved a lovely piece, Michael. Bad weather or not. I love the richness that you develop in your watercolours.

Thank you Ann! Much appreciated.

wow, it's gorgeous Michael..It looks great, I love it :)

Great atmospheric painting Michael...I love the glimpse of blue sky with light on the land beneath, before that menacing cloud passes over.

Maria & Chandra - thank you!

Got too much water on the brush on the mountain and ended up over-painting which mucked it up. Tried to get the feel of a very windy day whipping up the waves on the loch.
