Lovely painting Michael, been there a few times, is just how I rember it.

Gorgeous airy sky! Very lovely painting, Michael

Love the shadows. Michael

Your picture tempts me Michael. This is a smart piece of capturing the local scene.

Good work once again Michael, good use of shadows makes this more interesting.

Love this scene, the old jailhouse in the centre encapsulates the town. Lovely figure work and the light is tremendous, very unusual to see Keswick bathed in sunlight.

Instantly recognisable, that's got to be good right....

I painted this scene a few years ago and there used to be a tree on the corner of the island .Have they removed it?

Thank you everyone very much. Clearly, this is a place known to several of you and Andre, you are right - it IS rather unusual to see so much sunshine in Keswick!

Could be Fred - I'll check on my next visit this summer. This painting is not based on one of my own photos so I really don't know.

A beautiful place, rain or shine! Love the hustle and bustle you have depicted, Michael....It has always been bustling whenever I have visited, and you have captured this superbly.

Lovely! Fantastic part of the UK. :)

Chandra & Wendy - a belated 'thank you'. Have only just seen your comments. Lovely spot is Keswick, I agree.

One of my favourite haunts in the Lake District. Looking up the slope in the pedestrianised town centre. There's a super little sandwich shop up the top just around the corner on the left..... and hot pasties..... don't tempt me!
