Bala Lake Wales

A view of the Lake with mist in the valley behind. Bala Lake is the largest natural lake in Wales. Prompted to paint this after meeting a friend who knows the area but I remember Bala for another reason: in 1949, at the age of 10, I travelled on the footplate of a steam loco with my Dad and brother from Trawsfynydd to Bala Station - now, you are not going to forget that are you?!
