A lovely plain air watercolour Michael. Very atmospheric. I like the brick work and the person moving into the scene from the right.

Dennis - that is very kind of you. I really don't think I deserve such praise. However, probably like most other artists, I am super-critical of my own work. It is a constant striving to try and improve. I have just read Geoff Hunt's watercolour pages in the latest Artist magazine and marvelled at his skill yet again. His interior of Southwark Cathedral is a terrific painting. It inspired me to have a go at painting the interior of Winchester Cathedral - not sure I will post it! It only confirmed how far I still have to go and what a very clever man is Mr. Hunt!

A plein air watercolour from my recent holiday. The weather was scorching and I only just managed to sketch and paint this before I "fried". However, I hope it captures the feel of this lovely old medieval village and the brilliant light of a hot summer's day.
