Super work Michael, I'm sure EW would have approved.

Love it Micheal. You made a great job of this . I love Edward Wesson

Fabulous! I like Edward Wesson's work too.

Love your interpretation of one of wessons works Michael, you can add me to the Wesson fan list too.

Thank Stephen, Dennis, Geraldine and Fiona. Glad to see we have a Wesson fan club! Back in the 1960's, my father was lucky enough to spend a painting weekend with him at Corhampton in the Meon Valley Hampshire. I remember how he came back totally enthused and couldn't wipe the smile off his face!

The fish and chips must have had something extra added ! wonderful painting

Norah - thank you!

I know Corhampton very well, Michael. No stranger to the Shoe and the Buck's Head either!

Nice spot is Corhampton Philip. On my ‘patch’ back in the late 1950’s when I was an articled pupil in a firm of Chartered Surveyors in Fareham. Those were the days ........

I usually 'do my own thing' but I admire Edward Wesson's work greatly and one of his harbour scenes grabbed my fancy. Loosely based on his watercolour, I painted this last night after a fish & chip supper - perhaps that helped me to choose a harbour scene! If only I could paint like this more often - that is 'indicate' features loosely but hopefully believably without getting into laborious detail. It is 14 x10 in. on Arches Rough.
