Totally agree Michael and so nice in person too, I met him at the Wapping show in London last year. The Artist mag published my letter in praise of him last year, virtually repeating all you say above.

If you think you have seen a much better version of this recently, you are right. This is based on Geoff Hunt's watercolour in the Artist magazine for April. I hope he won't mind that I've had a go. Like others I'm sure, I look forward to his monthly articles on the trials and tribulations of plein air watercolour. I'd love to go out painting with him because he has such a down to earth philosophy on painting and writes without the slightest trace of pomposity.He is a great encouragement to us lesser mortals.
