Being the gifted artist that you are Martin you are probably aware of the later passage of book 2 of Virgil The Georgics which follows the themes you describe together with wonderful art work..

Bari, I have commented on another posting about this. I do not consider this to be a skechbook, it is much more. In a sketchbook there is a freedom, where as in this book there is not. I am aware of what beautiful watercolour paper this is so there is a nod to that medium and of course to my love of ink.
