My version of the tarot card Hanged Man.

Love the upward angle and, as ever, thought provoking

Scarily Heather the viewer is placed from above... Confronting the shadow often means a descent into matter. Here the viewer the self is looking down at the ego descending. The waters below are meant to imply the ego is about to be submerged in the feelings and then re-emerge better for it. Perhaps the descent is controlled ie conscious or not.

When ego is confronted, finding the self can feel like being turned upside down. Reintegration of self after ego consciousness has exploded can be both a painful emotional experience and full of promise and hope of a better future.
