Very interesting abstract Louise and a lovely gallery full of colour! 😊 Thank you for your interest in my work, and I've now figured out how to add the medium and sizes to my gallery items. 🤗🤗🤗

It's very very good Louise, colours beautifully strong and it has a sense of real distance. I'm seeing a wide rain soaked approach to somewhere like an airport.....I could go on. Pleased with this? I certainly would be.

This is great, Louise. I love the composition and the very, very strong colours.

Many thanks Ron, Marjorie and Mia. I'm new to what I call abstract work Ron but after seeing the ridiculous prices asked in some London galleries for abstracts, my husband commented why didn't I paint some. Now I just need somewhere to show them, other than the spare bedroom. LOL Marjorie, it's interesting to hear what you see. I shall call this one 'Airport' :) I'm trying Mia..not quite there yet!

Another brilliant abstract Louise, great stuff.

Have you looked at Saachi Online Louise, I am considering selling with them, this stuff would fit in well and the prices asked by most of the artists are pretty steep.

Thank you Carole and Alan. I'm not too keen on online galleries Alan. They seem to be very overcrowded with work but will look into it. I'm lucky that I exhibit in a couple of Manchester galleries but noticed when in Wimbledon recently how many galleries are in the London area and they even had an art shop. I have to travel into Manchester centre for my nearest art shop and now order materials online. Not many galleries in the North West either and prices are nothing like those achieved in London. There seems to be a real North South divide as far as selling and exhibiting work is concerned. We shall have to move house.. but then there's the problem of house prices. LOL

Brilliant Louise yes that's where the money is

Better weather too Dennis. Bitter? Moi? lol

Thanks Gudrun, nice of you to say that. Now I'm wondering if I can go really big but need to be brave. LOL

Just go for it! I've got a 100x80cm canvas waiting for me.

I'm not into abstracts but this one seems to draw me in Louise. I can also see wet reflections, it's a lovely painting.

Might need a decorator's brush Gudrun :) Thank you Margaret. I wasn't either but am enjoying painting these now. Glad you like it!

Love your colour contrasts, especially with the strong darks.

Another stupendous piece Louise! Really love the rich dark colours you've used. Ref you're comment about my fingers on the pastel......I could could rob a bank and they would never lift a finger print! Lol

Thanks Fiona...Best not, we all know now . LOL

This is a great piece of modern art Louise and I love it! Have you ever tried to enter an exhibition h London? It's not that far from Manchester! Gudrun and I we have exhibited with Candid Art and they have several shows per year. Free online entry and if you get chosen it's only £10 per painting.

My daughter lives in Wimbledon Satu so London doesn't feel that far if the traffic's good. There are a few galleries in Wimbledon and I'll take a look at Candid art which I've never heard of so thanks for that. I'm not that good at putting my work out there and to be honest, I just enjoy painting. When I sell work, it's just a nice bonus and I'm lucky that I have three galleries which exhibit some of mine all year round in mixed exhibitions. What struck me down South were the prices asked! Have you sold anything through the Candid art? There's nothing worse than entering some Opens, going to the trouble of transporting work and then having to collect it some time later and bring it home. Plus there's the entry fee but a tenner, if chosen, is good ..I'll take a look tomorrow. Thanks again.

Did you have a look at Candid, Louise? I've exhibited there only once and didn't sell anything but that's ok. I'm going to be there again at the end of the month with their Portrait exhibition. I live in Berks so the journey is not a problem. I wish I had a gallery who would have my paintings! You are very lucky. X

Thanks Satu for the suggestion. I did have a look but distance is a factor. For me, it would be a bit of a hassle for just one painting if I was lucky, and then I'd have to collect it. This is the problem I have with Open art competitions. All that effort and then I have to pick it up! Good luck with your portrait though, it looks to be an excellent venue. I'm surprised that you don't have use of a gallery in Berks. Have you approached any? After you mentioning Candid art in Islington, it got me thinking. This year, I'll contact some galleries in Wimbledon which would be perfect for me but I'll need a lot of luck and a good cv. LOL

Another abstract. I used heavy weight watercolour paper for this one so lost the textured effect that I got with the handmade paper. 30 cm x 30 cm
