Thanks Christine. I got the blue and red, but guessed the rest. I mean, they wear different coloured socks and logos on their shirts which true football fans will pick up on when I get them wrong. I was just trying for the excitement. I've researched their kits now!

Thanks Derek. Possibly real fans want to pick out the players. Just like me to paint the Man U player no. 10 with the wrong colour hair for example. Serious stuff football! ..I seem to have been hit by an MP yet again. You'd think wouldn't you that it's just common sense not to post too many all at once.

Loving the football theme - you are so good at taking a subject and getting right inside it and producing a variety of interesting works based on it. This is dynamic and full of energy from the jostling players to the hinted crowd in the background. Another great one.

I care very little for football, but your painting seems to capture some of the euphoria that the sport inexplicably seems to provoke in spectators. Above all I like that part of the painting - the spectators!

Here we go, here we go, here we go... I agree with Kim the painting of the crowd is superb (interesting to note that if you just had that part alone it would be pure abstraction). I think the text on the figures also works very well. Fun, dynamic painting.
